If the Lodging Facility is NOT a member of this program, your report will be placed on the bed bug reports page identifying this hotel to warn others of the bed bug infestation. The non-member facility will be contacted to invite them to join this program. They will be offered the inspection and treatment service. They will also be advised of your report and that it will be made available to the general public to protect other guests. We cannot guarantee that they will take the room "Out of Service" as we have no contract with them.
For all Lodging Facilities that ARE MEMBERS of the program, the following procedure will be implemented. The member facility will be immediately notified to take the specified room "Out of Service." Additionally, a request for inspection will be forwarded to the local inspector, who is supplied by Eco Green SM Exterminator. The Inspector will perform a thorough physical inspection of the designated room utilizing human and/or canine inspection methods. The inspectors are independent and are not employees or agents of the facility you are reporting. When a report is received for MEMBER facilities the reported rooms are immediately placed "Out of Service" until they have been inspected, treated (if necessary) and verified bed bug free.
We are sorry that you have experienced this problem. Bed Bug Planet SM program members look forward to helping you resolve this matter. The room you stayed in and filed this report about will not be rented again until it has been inspected, treated (if necessary) and is verified bed bug free by professionals supplied by Eco Green SM Exterminator.
After you submit your report, you will be redirected to information about the precautions you need to take to ensure that you don't transport bed bugs back to your home. Remember bed bugs are notoriously good hitchhikers and people who take them home will ultimately spend an average of $4,000 getting rid of them. (USA Average) So be very careful if you have been exposed.
