When we arrived in the room we immediately did the bed-bug test (lift up the mattress to see if you see any critters scatter - bed bugs hate light) and it passed the test! Phew! The water-pressure in the shower was incredible, and they provided Bath and Body works toiletries (we also called down for a couple of toothbrushes and they provided them which...

On Jun 30 2011 chicagofan wrote, We had planned, then cancelled a trip to NY partially because of the bed bug problem. I ended up taking a last minute trip to NYC and stayed at this hotel on June 16 & June 17. I made sure to check carefully for bedbugs, but found no evidence. This hotel was very clean and I would definitely stay again. Very nice hotel!

On Jun 20 2011 Martch93 wrote, ...we got in the room I was pretty underwhelmed. Not to mention, i didn't enjoy finding a dead little bug on my bed. Don't worry - it wasn't a bed bug - but still. Come on, housekeeping! Get your act together! The one good thing - when reception broke the bad news that the concierge lounge is not open on the weekends, and she saw my upset reaction - she gave us a free breakfast the next morning. Definitely...

On May 11 2011 BusinessTraveler wrote, I stayed at the hotel on May 9th. I woke up with 5 bug bites around my ankle. I called the hotel to complain and they criticized me for not reporting the incident the very next morning. I informed them that I had to rush out to catch a flight and that as a business traveler, I would alter my preferences for hotel stay. Later, I called Marriott Rewards to issue a second complaint.

On Dec 6 2010 molevin wrote, My room did not have bedbugs, the temperature regulation was OK, it was reasonably quiet (although my room was in front of the elevator and there was some noise due to that), and nothing terrible happened. But the rooms are very small and tired, the view was of some other hotel rooms, and the bar in the lobby was loud, small and weird. The hotel insists on charging $16.95 per day for internet which...

On Dec 3 2010 ...problems). As a scientist I note that none of these reports cite a direct visible sighting of a bed bug. One can get a rash easily when travelling. Change in soap, change in sleep pattern (wearing sweats instead of PJ's? Wear your wrist watch to bed at hotels?), detergent use on the sheets, eating new types of food, etc. The fact that you are itchy after staying in a hotel does not mean it has bed...

On Dec 1 2010 We stayed there November 19-21 and had no incidents. I was concerned about it since the news reports have given me reason for concern. I talked to management about my fear and they were reassuring. I will stay there again.

On Oct 14 2010 October 7-9 rm#1421 My husband came home with bedbug bites all over his legs and arms. He was unsure of what it was while he was at the hotel, therefore did not report anything. When he got home I knew immediately what it was and called the hotel. (one of the managers first tried to tell my husband he was allergic to the feathers in the bedding-he is not.) All they do is deny they have bedbugs and...

On Sep 20 2010 Stayed at this hotel 2 nights in Sept. 2008. Slept horribly the first night as it felt like my skin was crawling. My travel companion who slept in the other bed awoke with bites on her leg. We notified management. They never acknowledged a problem but moved us to another room. Had the nerve to imply that my roommate had bites from flies. Didn't sleep well the second night as it also felt like things...
