On Oct 4 2012 Rachel wrote, October 1 2012, I went to check into this hotel. I went into my room and as usual did the bed bug check. I pulled back the mattress and looked at the box spring. To my HORROR I saw a bed bug. I ran downstairs and requested another room in another building (they have 3). The girl at the front desk was very nice and apologic, and switched me to a suite. Front desk did say they had elevators, but most of what I saw, was stairs.another point to be sure to ASK ABOUT. Sheets were clean, no bed bugs, but when I opened the refrigerator, OUT crawled a roach! Well, this is Florida, isn't it? Next time we are in Clearwater, we will look for better accomodations, but in a "pinch", it was OK.
