On Oct 1 2012 Sarah R wrote, Just checked-out today after a 2-night stay for the Portland marathon, along with several friends. A couple of us (staying in seperate, non-adjacent rooms, all on the 2nd floor) have the same, small red bites on our legs and arms. They look alarmingly like bed bug bites. We are disinfecting our clothes and have notified the hotel management, but wanted to alert potential visitors asap.

On Jul 8 2012 Fairfield Inn wrote, Fortunately, the last claim is incorrect. What she had in her room was a tick, not a bed bug. She was immediately moved to another room and the bug was taken to professionals to be examined. Luckily, we are still & continue to be a bed bug free hotel!

On May 24 2012 My wife stayed here on a buisness trip and while lying in bed she felt a bug crawling on her. She looked to see what it was and she found it to be a bed bug. The hotel gave her a new room and sent her to another hotel to wash all her clothes and her personal blanket.
