On Sep 7 2011 We got in very late and went straight to bed with just a quick check for bugs. When we woke up in the morning there was a dead bug under my neck and a baby one crawling around on the sheets. The maids called the bugs chinchis - spanish for bed bugs - and told the head housekeeper. They moved us rooms but only after we had to ask and then it was just a few doors down so we again had to ask to be moved...

On Aug 23 2011 ...my back was exposed during the entire stay. My husband was not bitten, but he sleeps in a T-shirt. I reported this to the hotel and they said they checked the room and found nothing. Research on the internet leads me to believe it was bed bugs. I am deeply concerned that I brought the bugs home with me. Other than the bugs and the management's lack of responsibility, it was a great place to stay.

We had to get directions to a local restaurant from another hotel since ours did not help us. The fridge was a plus. My husband was worried about bed bugs or other critters but we didn't see any insects.
