On Jul 20 2011 My boyfriend and I stayed at Wolcott Hotel from May 9 to May 14, 2007. After the last night, in the morning, both his and my skin were itching. His arms and neck were itching and I felt the itching on my arms, right side of the face, hands, legs and feet. Both of us also had red spots on the skin. Back in Sweden, we both contacted a medical doctor. After check-ups, the diagnos was bed bug bites.

However, the main thing was the temperature was hotter rather than colder. The bed was free of Bed Bugs and the towels changed every day. The AC was perfectly set as well keeping the room nice and cool. Overall, i felt that it was a decent hotel that met our needs for the price range we wanted.

They were old radiators so every 40 minutes included clanging pipes. We did like the historical aspects of the 1904 hotel and the price compared to any other NYC hotel on Thanksgiving weekend. No bedbug infestation that we are aware of.

On Nov 27 2006 Stiinak wrote, ...room with extra bed (which we had to separately request at least three times.) After one night we were given another room which was really tiny. The AC didn't work and we had to ask for repairing. Both beds had bedbugs as we were all full of red, itching bites.
