I checked for bed bugs and found the mattress and box springs looked new and not a spot on them. We were missing a light bulb, so no light; carpets were burned and dingy; the bed was not terribly comfortable but seemed to be bed bug free (fingers crossed); we did not get our wake up call - good thing we are paranoid and had a back up alarm set.
