On Sep 21 2012 Was assigned to Room 216 at the Doubletree Monrovia in 09/2012. Checked the bed covers and mattress and did not find any sign of bed bugs. To avoid leaving luggage on floor of hotel, placed within closet (hotel does NOT carry luggage caddies). After staying for three days though, continuously felt "itchy" and uneasy. This hotel is designed in a modern motif which is pretty, but impractical: I needed to do some work but there is not a real desk in the room, just a "shelf" sized table that is barely big enough to put my laptop on. On Aug 31 2010 Spent one night on August 24, 2010. Had a bite on awakening now My bedroom is infested. I did spend a night in LA a week and a half before that at a different hotel. I think they might be in my shoes. I did not see any bed bugs.
