It was on the table in the breakfast area. We took pictures and removed it from the area before my daughter in law could see it and take it up with the staff. On Apr 2 2012 bitten and bitter! wrote, I was headed headed home and decided to stay at this location in Feb. 2012.stayed in room 103. Next day I was very itchy.by the time I got home I had big swollen red bites on my back and side. I had tried to check the room but there was a zip up mattress pad, so I just took my chances . bed bug bites are terrible!

Once arrived home the co-worker sharing the room started complaining of red marks on her arms & legs. Discussing the above with other colleagues whom have stayed at Howard Johnson, it turns out that others have had other experiences.
