On Jul 10 2012 ...Eww. I screamed and made my boyfriend kill the creature. When I told the guy at the front desk about this, he just shrugged and wrote down our room number. We'd read about the place having bedbugs shortly after checking in (darn), so slept with the lights on each night to scare them away. We stayed two nights and I refused to shower. On Jul 6 2012 I checked into the Powell on July 5, 2012. I checked out later that night after finding bed bugs swarming in the bed. The desk clerk was merely going to move me to another room just down the hall- he didn't seem that concerned. I insisted they find me another hotel and refund my stay, which they did. I got into another hotel just down the street that was MUCH nicer (and cheaper!). DO NOT STAY HERE!

I am not 100% sure they are bedbugs because the symptoms could also fit fleas. However, my doctor said that she's certain they are insect bites, not a rash. On Oct 13 2009 55halifax wrote, ...an upgrade. No air con in the room or bar fridge. Hotels floors are floor boards so can be noisy. Staff were friendly whilst staying there however once I had left I came down with terrible bed bug bites all over my arms and torso. I contacted the hotel via email several times and was ignored and received no response. Poor handling of this problem and seems it has been happening for a while now.

The bathrooms were not very clean looking. The corners of the floors had hair in them. The capper was when we discovered that we had been bitten by bed bugs!
