On Aug 19 2012 ...However, when I awoke on third day I had bites all over my face, my arms, and even my head. When we reported this, the mngr could do no better than offer to cancel the bill for one night's stay. We pulled the bed back from the wall and found a bedbug nest, along with a lot of dirt and dustballs-clearly no one had been this close to the nest in a long time. We got out of there as soon as we could.

On Aug 9 2012 Brad wrote, 6-18-2012 I stayed at Travelodge 8040 13th St, Silver Spring, MD. Next morning, no hot water, so I left. Later, bug bites all over my body. I reported to Travelodge, they just said sorry. I should have suspected something, when I checked in I saw mattresses against the dumpster in the parking lot.

On Feb 28 2012 I am not sure if the bugs were bed bugs but I was itching the entire time I was in the room. Ultimately, it was roaches than was the biggest problem. One was crawling on my little boy's nose while he was sleeping. It was this that made me leave and go elsewhere in the middle of the night!

On Oct 24 2011 numerous bugs in the room. Don't know if they were bed bugs. They landed on my face and arms while in bed, and the mirror while getting ready for meetings. The shower overflowed with a black sludgy water and I was unable to take a shower - then the toilet handle broke. The bugs could have been coming form the stinch in the tub plumbing. Awful place!

On Jul 4 2011 I booked an employee of my company into the Days Inn Silver Spring for two nights on 6/21 and 6/22/11. I don't think he quite knew what was happening at the time, so he stayed both nights, but he said he was covered with bites when he left there.

There were no bed bugs and enough hot water. AND free parking! Everything else- paint peeling on walls, teeny bathroom, thin towels, so-so service, lumpy mattress- is forgivable. It's a motel. Our room came w/microwave, fridge, ironing board, coffee maker, hair dryer....
