On Nov 9 2012 BILLYVILLAN wrote, ...somewhat undeserved. The hotel has a great location. The rooms are large and comfortable (not a bed bug in sight) and the facilities are adequate. Can't comment about wi-fi - We're on holiday so who gives a .! The food is OK without being brilliant. We had a problem with the air -con which was fixed while we were out on the day it was reported so no problem there. Staff were polite and efficient,...

On Jul 5 2012 CarolChing wrote, We book the hotel through Hotels.com. We stayed at the Cedar Lodge for two nights between 6/27 and 6/29. The room is overpriced and old. We got bed bug bites and found a giant spider in our room. After we returned from the trip, we realized Cedar Lodge has charged additional 100 USD to our credit card without our authorization. We called to the front desk, she explained the charge was to Expeida.com...

On May 12 2012 X Y wrote, ...room. Already this was suspicious. In the second room, we had a double queen bed and got bitten by bedbugs (visible!) in the night so we requested another room at 3 am. The third room we occupied had bedbugs also, so we got more bites in the night. The cleaners came the next day, but the stinky and unhealthy chemicals wont work, since the mattresses are old with holes and have no cover. We got our...

On Feb 13 2012 TripSF_go wrote, ...The front office guy was like "Ok, you booked so what?". I had booked for 2 queen bed but I was given 2 King bed. The rooms were old. The sofa bed was horrible and so were the beds. The only good thing about this hotel is the distance from Yosemite Park, its just half an hour drive. If you dont care for a night's stay go ahead, but looking for ambiance? not a place to stay. Of course, bed bugs.

The shower temperature regulation was very sensitive, requiring fine tuning to prevent cold cold water or scalding. Fortunely, no bed bugs like other reviewers. Lodging in the Yosemite area is limited, so given the option of overpriced park lodging and Cedar Lodge, I would recommend this place.

On Dec 13 2011 effy07 wrote, Dirty, outdated and filled with bed bugs! I would never recommend this motel to anyone. It wasn't until the second night staying there that we saw bed bugs. We saw a number of them in the adolescent stage, which means it was a breeding ground, and filled with blood. . . because they had already bit us! I collected one in a cup and brought it down to the front desk. They quickly took the cup and apologized...

We have wracked our brains to try and work out what it was as there were far too many bites to be mosquitos. I said at the time that the room was dated, with the enamel coming off of the sink and the whole room being dark. Since there was nowhere else to go we ate both...

On Oct 5 2011 db0380 wrote, It was OK, nothing special, I did not see any bedbugs. The restaurant was not good and was very expensive, we only ate dinner. There is only one other hotel closer to the Yosemite entrance and it is more expensive than this one.but they are both owned by the same group. If you stay here try to bring your own breakfast food. there is nothing in this town and very little in the park itself.

On Oct 2 2011 MKunhappy wrote, Very disappointing! Staff booked room knowing they had bed bug issues. Mattresses were wrapped in the bed bug zipped bags and bed bugs roamed freely still. When we walked into the room, we were amazed of how cold the air conditioner was set.now we know.trying to keep the activity of the bugs down. We relocated to the sister hotel after complaints but not worth the hassle and aggravation. Management...

On Aug 21 2011 Kevin M wrote, ...OK but very cheaply furnished. An hour after going to bed I woke up to find both beds covered in bedbugs and spots of blood. I scoped up several bugs in a cup, packed up, and gave the cup to the front desk. We were then given an upgraded room in building 300. Even after I was satisfied that there were no bugs in the new room, I still couldn't sleep because the bedding was painfully cheap and the...

On Apr 19 2011 LouLindaF wrote, $180 Deluxe room reflected gorgeous river canyon location and proximity to Yosemite. Otherwise, this is an ordinary hotel that showed its age. No bedbugs (we checked) but lots of ants in the bathroom. We usually stay at much nicer places but this was a last minute trip. We like the other lodge up the road better and would not stay here again because of the late night, noisy partying drunks near our...

Secondly you are ut in rooms where they have had problems with bed bugs (and appearently are still having problems with them) When you complain about it, the manager colleene treats like an idiot and basically tells you it is your fault. She was awful and we were all appalled. The only good this about this place is the lounge.
