On May 30 2011 I stayed in Room 815 on May 22, 2011, checked under the fitted sheet, every thing seemed fine. The next morning, a drop of blood and what looked like mosquito bites were on my shoulder. After removing all of the bed linens and the dust ruffle, the mattress and box spring were disgusting. On Feb 22 2011 ...to the front desk they offered me some reward points & breakfast- I had to insist that we not be charged for the room. After questioning they admitted to previous bed bug problems, but my room would not be a problem "as it had been treated". I would never stay at this Charleston location again! I am a Marriott Platinum member & have never found this type of problem in another Marriott property.
